Had an appointment with my bike fitter and decided to just take the full day off.
The morning started with a quick trip down to Scrambled where I hung out for an hour while enjoying a chill breakfast. Then I drove back to the house to grab the bike and gear for the fitter.
Before loading the bike I drug it out back and gave it a quick bath. I was telling Caleb that looking at my bike you'd swear I graveled it daily. With the cold temperatures and my general laziness I just have a hard time being motivated to clean it regularly. Made an exception here because if the fitter is going to be manhandling my bike I might as well make it clean for him.
The appointment with the fitter went well and I left to head over to Swanny's. I'd started having problems with the rear not shifting into the 34. I'd thought it was a limit screw issue and tried to fix it before going to my appointment with no success. Thankfully Hayden (sp?) was able to get me squared away. I guess a cosmetic plastic piece broke and sent debris into the ratchet mechanism preventing it from doing that final shift. Thankfully they were able to get me squared away without having to hold onto the bike for a few days. Also ran into Caleb who was in town and got a chance to chat with him for a bit before heading out for a ride.
I had planned on doing a longer route with more Wandrer miles, but started running short on time as the sun set. I'm happy to report that my mission was accomplished as I "finished" all of the Boulder City Historic District. I've ridden 99.09% of all the roads in that area. There are a couple edits on OpenStreetMap that need to be processed through that I think will take me closer to 100%. Either way I'm happy.
Having wrapped up Boulder City I started heading back towards Acacia park. I did take a detour to nab a couple roads along the way back. They're off the beaten path and require a dedicated trip. At least this way they're done and out of the way.
