Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It’s cold out and I just didn’t feel like getting out for a ride. I chose the Watopia Mountain Loop. The legs felt so so to start. I was sufficiently warmed up by the time I reached the base of the climb. The Holo Replay was on, so my approach was to stay within a minute of him. I was out of the saddle most of the time. Near 3 W/kg, plus or minus. I kept my Holo within sight for most of the ascent. The miles went fairly quick. I was estimating the time to landmarks. That seemed to help. I was trying to stay out of the red-zone. I ended up finishing about one minute behind my Holo rider. From there, I made my way up the bonus climb. I headed back down the mountain, stretching here and there. Then did the usual grind into town. I put in a dig through the sprint zone. After reaching the finish, I shut it down and went into cooldown mode. Stopping at 112 BPM. Concentration was good. I thought I was going to be a bit impatient. But, it wasn't so bad. Balance and form felt good. Nutrition was good. I went through my Gatorade bottle, no water. Ailments, my left hand kept going numb while putting in the effort, out of the saddle. Sitting and changing hand positions helped. Gear worked flawless. (I have to oil the chain). Other notes, there were about 10,000 riders when I hopped on!
