What a wonderful day for a bike ride! Nice and cool. About 60 degrees. The wind conditions were exceptional. When I departed, the wind was from the South East. I made it to the summit of the descent in good time. As I was making my way down the mountain, the wind changed directions, 180. I stopped once to take a photo of a train passing through the Loop. I reached the base in about 25 minutes. I spared no time and headed back up the mountain. The legs felt good. The wind was on my back. The morale was good. The cool air was like pure Oxygen. I was counting off the landmarks and they went fast! After reaching the second dip, I was feeling better in the morale. The body was responding well. I made it to the summit in about 1:05 hours. So, very good time. After that, I was able to recoup on the downhill. I did the usual jam up Weston and then shut it down. Concentration was real good. Minimal lapses, no gremlins and the morale was good. Gear worked flawless. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through about 3/4ths of my Gatorade, no water. Balance and form felt good. Other notes, no other cyclists today. There were a few people at the Loop Monument as I was passing by on the descent.
