La Gomera day1

La Gomera is almost perfectly round island with area of around 250 square km but trick is that wherever you go you have to pass over the mountain top at the middle. Sides are incredible cliffs that are not passable. This island is only 12 million years old and didn't have any recent (last few million years) volcanic activities. That is the reason of very lush tropical forest that was protected by the UNESCO.
Views along the way are unjustified by the pictures that I took.
As there are not too many roads, traffic was quite busy but drivers are respectful. Big difference from Tenerife where tourist crowds are insane. This is more laid back island without any big resort towns.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
