Initially this was going to be an easy short ride. I did keep the ride short but not so easy. The first 3 miles were somewhat easy a warm-up, then I decided I needed to test myself and the bike fit some more. The cold and wind wasn't to my liking but the cold made it easier to ride harder. The first part 11 miles including the warm-up and getting up to ride speed before some longer 1-2.5% grade up and downs, this was tough. Part 2; 7 miles of semi flat, into headwinds a test of will power and speed... this was tough pushing the speed up to an uncomfortable levels. I worked it hard and it was painful! I didn't drink a drop the first 18 miles, I wanted save as much energy as I could and put my effort into the ride. The first part was slower but had my highest power output so far this year of just shy of 200 watts average, the 2nd part was my fastest average for 7 miles this year at 21.5 mph and slightly lower power output. The last part was just to ride comfortably the last 8 miles to build up my base. The only negative thing on this ride outside of a few drivers passing to close was my left knee and neck were painful. Post ride my thighs, butt and hips were/are very sore. A most successful test ride, very happy with the results! The great adventure continues...

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
