This was a short but necessary test for Blaze. He had a terrible day yesterday driving up from Bayside. When we got as far as Phoenicia, he puked all over his little seat. I had to pull over on the side of Route 28 and clean up the mess. Then, once we arrived at the condo, he puked again outside the Jeep. For the rest of the day, he was feeling pretty listless, and under the weather. I felt really bad for him, and was completely mystified because the first time we came up here about a month ago, he had no trouble at all. It was obvious he was not happy in the jeep, but he did OK overall. So, for today’s ride, I decided to keep it under an hour, and to stay around the condo grounds doing hills. Every now and then, I would ride past the condo to see if there was any excessive barking. Luckily, there was none to speak of. Sure, he’d bark every now and then, but nothing that any sane neighbor would complain about. All in all, a nice, strenuous ride, riding up some of the steep gradients around Roxbury Run. The weather today is much better than yesterday, with generally clear skies, north winds of 5 to 10, and temperatures in the upper 60s.
