After missing yesterday's ride I couldn't miss another ride... quick warning my computer was hacked and I allowed the Hackers in! I had an issue with my Avast Antivirus deleting System Mechanic a paid for app to help keep computer running smoothly, I have an old computer like myself that needs the help, LOL. In order to fix the issue I gave them permission to work on my computer remotely. They fixed it and were outstanding and impressive at how fast they moved around my computer. Well 4 hours later I get a call from someone that was claiming they were from the same company, They told me many customers were having severe issues with their computers and sending them the error message and mine was doing the same. They needed to check what the issue was so they would need access. To fix it. I gave it to them... Long story short, I called the original company to tell them I was hacked by someone impersonating them. . I spent all that day and night until this bike ride, no sleep repairing and scanning for all changes that was done plus running several malware, virus and system scans. I deleted all traces of their attack and made a few changes. Still working on it. Moral of the story do not give your credit card/debit or other payment numbers to anyone that you have not made initial contact with on that call and likewise access to your computer. My life would be boring if not for all these adventures, live, learn and share!
Back to the ride... It was a perfect ride very enjoyable, police were out giving speeding tickets in Manchester Twp. my bike is continue to have a click coming from my the lower end of the bike, I was thinking maybe the bottom bracket, it is tight, pedals spins freely, new chain, pulleys and derailleur all tight and smooth, thinking it might be the Di2 wiring or junction box... another adventure to look into when I pull out the bottom bracket. Be safe out there and enjoy your ride!
