Had quite the delay after starting when we ran across a tagged, harnessed, loose dog. Called the numbers on the tags and eventually, after 30-40 minutes, dog's owner showed up to reclaim him. Didn't seem like said owner was all that upset or concerned or worried that the dog was missing... but eventually the ride resumed. Lovely day, warm without being oppressive. Lots of folks out now that more have discovered the trails north of the creek are primo. MTBs not allowed south and west of the creek, but the trails there are much less interesting so to the ride side, the pedestrians come. Lots of horse exhaust; zero horses, so we'll take the win. Legs still feeling strong and fresh after last week's CBC; need to get out on the other bike soon to keep the conditioning ... w/Mark
