I didn't think it was going to rain, it had rained earlier in the day. It started to rain just after I got on the main road and the further I got away the more it rained, then it slowed to a stop and the drizzled on and off. So I was soaked... It was my first ride in a week. everyday was another adventure that got in the way of my riding. Well after a great thought I decided to keep and use the my Specialized Shiv Comp Triathlon bike and use it as my TT Training bike! It will save me bunch of time from the constant changing of wheels and brake pads, adjusting brakes and syncing shifters, removing and replacing bike gear before and after each TT race. I already have a Training road bike and Race bike. So I spent all night setting up the fit, all adjustments and replacing brake cables so I could tighten up the Di2 brake levers. I need to find elbow pad spacers 1" for each side and a few other mounts. I took it out for a test ride today and it felt great except it was a little low on the front end thus the need for the elbow pad spacers. I was so happy to finally get out to ride. I wanted to test ride the Race Road bike with the new Zipp 808 Firecrest Clinchers wheelset with Specialized TurboPro Gripton 25mm tires I also got the 404 Firecrest clincher front wheel same tire for windy or hilly days as needed. I hope the 808's are not too wide only time will tell. I guess I will be able to test ride them tomorrow. I didn't realize how much heavier the clincher would be over tubular. They are still lighter than my training wheels but not by much they are much more aero and definitely look great! Be safe out there, enjoy your ride!
