Didn't get out till early afternoon today because I had some stuff to do in the morning. The weather was cool and windy. I wore 1 base layer and arms. It was just warm enough to stick with shorts. I felt normal today. I think the wind offset the pace that I wanted to set. It was a strong headwind on the way out to SS. I put it into modest tempo and cruised it all the way to SS. I made it to the tunnel in an hour or so, plus or minus a few. I didn't have many ailments today. I had a sore knee at some point. My right calf cramped for a minute or two, I dropped the pace a bit and shifted my efforts to the left leg. Just enough to let my right leg recover. It worked... My back is still sore, off the bike. On the bike it wasn't an issue. Concentration was good, although some lapses that required a minute to gain it back. Balance was pretty good, I had to put an effort in a few times to maintain it. But nothing major. Bike and gear is working perfectly. Other notations of the ride, there was deer that crossed the road in front of me, about 50 to 100 feet or so. It came from the left side, running through the field, found an opening in a fence, crossed the road and under a barb-wired fence. I got it on the camera (2 still shots).
