Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was a great day to go riding! After breakfast, I took my usual nap and I was 50/50 on whether I should go for a ride when I get up. I checked outside and the weather was great! I got out at noon, but beofore that, I had an extra cup of gatorade and a raisin baggel. My legs felt good right out of the door. The wind was coming from the north, so I decided to give it a little go and see how I feel after making it to the top of Banducci. I got to the top in about 36 minutes. A good time considering I was going against the wind. I made it to the base in about 2 1/2 minutes. So I proceeded to SS, into the wind. Like usual, in this situation, I kept a steady tempo with no heroics. I made it to the top of SS at around the 56 minute mark, plus or minus. This put m on par for a 1 hour to the tunnel pace.
When I got close to the tunnel, there was a squirell that crossed my path. I hit it square on with both wheels. I looked back to see if it was still alive... It scampered off into the brush. I made it to the exit of SS in about 1:03. I knew I was doing good time, so I decided to have it a go for the last half of the ride. I kept a steady tempo until I made a left on Pelisser. There was a good tial-crosswind. I was doing 25+ mph on part of that road. I usually do around 20 mph. I made it to Boss Hogs in around 1:17 hours. I continued to do high tempo to the base of the last climb. I wanted to see how my legs felt at that point. I felt good when I got there. From that point on, I did strong tempo, and a good kick over the top. Ailments, I had a soreness in my right elbow, some cramping in my calf muscles (which I slowed my tempo until the soreness went away). I had a slight numbness in my right hand that went away in a few minutes after I noticed it. My concentration was good, some shady spots, but nothing worth noting. Balance was right on. I felt like my legs were firing on all cylinders. I probably lost 15 to 30 seconds from the cramps. I think I did especially well today because I fed just before the ride (baggel and some gatorade). Gear is working great, no problems there.
