Nice day with temps in the 60s but also REALLY wet after Fri-Sat rain, so instead we did a combination of gravel and pavement, on the only gravel road we know of in Montgomery County, a five-mile stretch down by the river. We can make a loop with the C&O towpath, which adds up to about 10 miles of non-pavement in a loop, then another 5 miles or so father north to a very quiet (and hilly) paved section back to that gravel road but in the other direction. Even it was pretty wet, but definitely rideable, unlike most of the trails. Took it easy with Feb/March legs (and especially winter contact points) but thoroughly enjoyed being out in shorts and two shirts (no vest!). w/Mark
