The Old Five Bells, Burnham

Ten of us, Jim H, Lawrie, Dave T, Jackie, Alec, John J, Jane, Leslie, Luke, and myself opted for the short ride and left Uxbridge for Black Park via Chandlers Hill. Arriving at Black Park for elevenses we found Sandra, Alan, Deefa, and friend minus bikes awaiting us. After refreshments the Jenkins loitered a little longer before returning home .
Six of us left Black Park along Rowley Lane en route to Farnham Common and through Burnham Beeches on Lord Mayor’s Drive to Pumpkin Hill. We continued on to Burnham down Green Lane, Dorney Wood Road, Dropmore Road and on to High Street. Turning off the High Street onto Summers Road we sneaked into the garden of The Old Five Bells our designated lunch stop.
After lunch we walked the bikes back to High Street (one way street) and continued down to Lincoln Hatch Lane and onto a path which led onto the Lower Burnham Road. Turning left we followed this road to Dove House Crescent then through the estate to Farnham Lane which took us to Farnham Royal. We went past the church and o to the path down to Northern Road and on through Stoke Green and Wexham to George Green. We entered Langley Park and cycled through to Billet Lane where Dave left us while continued up to the cafe for afternoon tea.
After tea we returned home via Iver with the group dispersing on the way.
