Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

The weather has let up. In the low 80’s, somewhat cool winds from the North West. I wasn’t exactly sure where to go. I knew I wanted to go to Keene, but not sure where after. I ended up going to the Alpine forest after Keene. I felt good from the start. I adjusted my right cleat, and I can honestly say that it feels better. I cruised my way to the summit and headed down to Keene. I think I made it to the base in average time. There was a cyclist ahead of me, but he ended up going further down the mountain. Not sure where, but he did have a mountain bike. I will have to investigate later. After turning around and commencing the ascent, my legs felt lively, but the temperature was noticeably cooler than the previous Keene ride. I was able to hold between moderate to good tempo. No heroics, but I did push it on a few occasions, including over the Loop Monument. I was in and out of the saddle for the remainder of the ascent. After reaching the summit, I took a few moments rest and then headed to OTR. My legs continued to feel good. A bit exhausted (to be understood). I took a few moments rest after reaching the summit. I stretched to let my muscles to recover. This was the point at which I decided to go to the Alpine forest. I felt a bit sluggish for the first few hundred yards on the Banducci climb. But I think it got better as I progressed. Then the Alpine forest. I remember the first mile or two being steep, with little respite. I thought there were 3 bumps before the right turn onto Lemans. But there were actually 4. Nevertheless, I made my way to the 4th bump and then to Lemans. From there it was mostly churning my 32T up the last few steep sections. Then the descent onto Banducci. I made my way to the summit and took a break. I had a 3rd bottle and it came in handy. I think I was more than half consumed on that bottle when I got back. The descent was fun. I was reaching 40MPH on a few occasions. After that, it was the fun trip down OTR, the push over Mariposa and home. Concentration felt good. Some drifting here and there, but no serious lapses. Balance and form felt much better, possibly the right cleat adjustment (narrower stance) had something to do with it. Ailments were numbness in the right hand, exhaustion, some lower back soreness. I was stretching to mitigate. Gear is working great. The Gopro stopped recording one time. After restarting it, it continued till I got back.
