Overheard at our lunch stop by this very Type A MTB'er describing how he rides his singlespeed HT when the restaurant worker/owner asked how he can ride with his seat so low - he had his dropper down.
Trying out some more new roads and doing some exploring. There's a nice little trail called the Spur Trail in Millbrae that seems pretty random and unexpected.
Strava only steered us wrong once where I had routed on some trail that ended up being some private utilities land. That meant climbing the very steep Larkspur Dr. which I originally routed but then tried to avoid because of how steep it was.
And then there was also the steep exit from Pacifica. No way around that unless we went south but that would've taken us way out of our way.
It started off a bit chilly but ended up being pretty nice albeit windy. Luckily it was a tailwind on the way back.
We got to Backhaus (and Dinosaurs) at the right time with no lines.
The closed section of Bay Trail just north of Coyote Point is still closed despite looking done. I fully expected it to be open since it looked complete the last time already.
We would've made it home exactly in the amount of time I thought it was going to take us but Bob got a flat at the start of the final bit through the neighborhood.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
