A ride on the NH Ice Cream Trail to Moose Alley Cones, Pittsburg, NH. Ride begins and ends at the parking area below Murphy Dam on Murphy Dam Rd, Pittsburg, NH. with a trail bike you can ride the washed out track below the dam to Cedar Stream Rd, or you can ride back out to Rt3 the way you came in on a road bike. Rt 3 over to a covered bridge (CLOSED) over the Connecticut River is first up, though it can not be used to get across. Back to Rt 145 to head south to a marker at the 45th parallel! The marker is in sight of the point your GPS will tell you is the "real" 1/2 way around the world spot. Investigate the Ham Radio outfit on your way back to town. Back in town at the Park find history of Indian Stream Republic. Turn onto Back Lake Road to head to: Back Lake. (and you thought it was a back road to a lake with a real name didn't you?) The beach road is more interesting. Up Rt3 to Ice Cream! Pass Happy Corner and First Connecticut Lake (of 4, didn't do the other 3, but that would take you to the boarder with Canada). Back toward Pittsburg on Rt 3 with a side hop to another covered bridge on River Road. You can get anything you want at Young's. Sculpture at Lake Francis. Back to the Dam. Should have gone to the boarder. Next time.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time.
