It was too hot for my usual Tuesday night crit race, so I moved to the Wednesday event. Only five showed up and one apparently failed to start while another eventually failed to finish. The racing was over immediately, as we fell into exactly the order and spacing that we would maintain for the entire race (save for the last fellow who DNF). At the half the leader was 1 minute ahead of me, while I was 2 minutes and 3 minutes ahead of the others, respectively. About 2/3 through the last place fellow dropped out and I leveled up (to 46). I pushed at the start to make sure I had advantage, but once I saw that I had it I backed off a bit and conserved energy. I did put forth an effort on the final lap to guarantee at least a 4 minute margin over the last guy. By Zwift Power I did 2.1w/kg or 151w (153w normalized). I put the new fan below me at the front of the trainer, so it was blowing roughly at my lower torso, the sofa fan at my chest and the tall fan at my head and shoulders (plus the trainer fans at my face and the treadmill fan just for effect).
