I got out a little late today because I had to wait for the new tire to arrive by mail. I had to go to the post office to pick it up, so that delayed my departure by an additional 30 minutes. Other than replacing the tire, everything checked out ok. I decided to try inflating the tires to no more than 90psi. I had a good day today. My mind was spinning a bit today, but that didn't seem to put a damper on my body. I was somewhat angry, so the first half of the ride was strong tempo. The winds were ideal and the weather was about 5 degrees cooler. I had very few ailments, my back was a bit sore here and there, but that was it. When I arrived at SS I realized I was doing good time, so I decided to do strong tempo for the remainder of the ride and see how my body responds. Being that I got out late, I drank an extra cup of Gatorade and ate 1/2 of a power bar at the top of Banducci. I made it to Boss Hogs in under 1:20, and my legs were feeling great. I was a little more cautious on the last ascent as I didn't want to blow up after having done strong tempo for most of the ride. Again, only my lower back was sore, everything else felt good. My concentration was good, as was my balance. The past 2 days have been limited in exercise. On Tuesday, I was only able to put 20ish minutes on the bike. And nothing on Wednesday. So, the freshness in my legs may have a little bit due to that. Gear is working great, I am going to install the new Cassette and Chain before the next ride.
