(Recalling) Got out in the afternoon today. The weather was the coolest its been this month. I wore an extra base layer. I was a bit chilly for the first 5 minutes, then felt warmed up by the time I reached the top of the Ascent. My legs felt ok today. I coasted most of the way down. I started the ascent fairly modest. Then I picked up the pace as I neared the Loop Monument. When I got to the monument, I stayed in the saddle till about 2-3 hundred yards to the top of the riser. After that, I got out of the saddle and gave it a bit of a kick. I did good tempo from that point on. I had almost no ailments today, my right hand went numb on a few occasions, but nothing really worth noting. My concentration was good, but lost focus a few times. Balance was good. Gear is working great. Shifting is right on! The Gopro didn't record the descent, but I think it was my fault. I'm almost certain that I didn't start the camera when I began the descent. Other notes, Roger met me less than a mile to the summit. There were a lot of people at the Loop Monument, but no one cheering on :(.
