Started a little late, catching up to everyone just below Piper Road, so missed the major hill up Lawsbrook. Kept up fairly easily, I think we were going too slowly, I was kind of chomping at the bit a little. A couple guys made some wrong turns, I almost did too. One time I was in wrong gear going up a hill in Groton, really hurt my psoas. But, overall not too painful, lower back a little still, and my right knee seemed ok. Perhaps all the rolling helped. I kind of pushed the pace a little in the second half, I did a lot of pulling the last few miles especially on Central Street. Peeled off near the end, went onto River Street and then back up School Street, then to Maple and Martin Street. Got some good miles in! It was a perfect day weather wise, not too hot this time. Stopped for a really blueberry scone at Salty coffee shop and bakery. Talked to John Steigel, Albert Reuther, Mark Wachsler, Andrew is getting married, Art Shwope. I thought it was a relatively flat ride, but it was over 50 feet per mile, so maybe more hilly than expected. Didn't get dropped too bad on the last hill on Taylor Road, I kept up with three guys, who passed me including Andreas and Jon. Actually I think that ridewithgps overestimated the elevation, based on similar rides which are less and the garmin was about 2000 feet too.
