Today was cool, but the wind was significant, to the South. I felt sluggish from the start. I was hoping I'd get warmed up by the end of OTR. Didn't happen. Made my way up Banducci. Still feeling sluggish. I knew from there that this is how the remainder of the ride was going to feel. On top of that, add the wind, the outbound was a tortuous march. I was looking forward to the return. I got my wish, a tailwind. I was happy when I reached CVR. From that point, minimal traffic mitigation. The last climb felt better. I was able to maintain a steady pace. Somewhat average. After making it to the summit, I replaced the camera batteries. I was about 10-15 minutes behind my normal pace. From there it was the usual trek back home. Route 202 was fun as I had a near perfect tailwind. Reaching 38MPH before the intersection. Concentration was probably the better of things. Despite the negativity, I was able to hold it together. Ailments, none. My right knee has since healed and is free of pain. Balance and form felt good. Gear is working flawless. Other notes, one other cyclist today as I was returning from SS.
