Great day for a ride. Too bad I didn't feel so good today. My legs were a bit heavy and never really got better as the ride went on. Maybe just a bit. The winds were from the west, so I had a tailwind on the way out. I had no intentions on setting a good outgoing average speed. I put myself into moderate to good tempo. My legs were responding well, but never "great". I think today was the warmest day this year, so far. Perhaps my body wasn't prepared for the warmth. Another problem I had was an ailment with my right knee. It started to get sore on the way out, here and there. But lingered more on the way back. I couldn't raise the tempo do to this ailment. Balance wasn't great today either, I just didn't get that sensation of being equal on both sides. I think it may have gotten better later in the ride. Perhaps I was spending too much time looking down, when I should have been looking up. Gear is working great, no failures in that respect. Concentration was good, probably the best aspect of the ride. Other notes, I'm seeing more people getting out on this route. I saw about 4 or 5 cyclist ahead of me as I started the outbound highline leg. I wanted to bridge, but the turned left before I had the chance. On the return trip there was another cyclist. I think he was the same guy who was pursuing me on the last ride. There were some gliders out today as well.
