Another evening ride, planning on a paved return to avoid the dark woods. But things got ... interesting as one OG's rear hub seemed to disengage at unexpected times in the woods, especially when pressing hard on the pedals. On the paved section going back, a steady pressure kept everything engaged but when he got home he discovered what's depicted in the picture. Have never seen a hub crack like that. Another lovely evening and another successful avoidance of dark. Next up is the OG Epic or OG PoachEpic, whichever you prefer, in which 3 dudes well over 60 go ride part of the for-pay annual ride and do less than half of one of the routes... because why pay to ride where we ride all the time and why suffer the full 55 miles when 22 miles is juuuuuust fine.
