Second effort of the 2024 Mohawk Metric Century. The ride starts at Pioneer Park in Brownsville. Swift Summit ride group was doing a weekend bike event at the park, with various rides today and more tomorrow. Beautiful fall day. Sunny, warm with just a slight south wind. The first 22 miles, to Coburg, dealt with the light headwind, with 500 feet climbing in the first 5 miles. Lost much of what wind existed by the time the route reached McKenzie View Drive. Actually picked up a slight tailwind from McKenzie View Drive to Marcola. Next stop was the Wendling Covered Bridge at mile 41. The next 13-mile stretch was on Marcola Rd, with a 1.25 mile climb, followed by a lengthy downhill on Brush Creek Rd then 3.5 miles of flat to Highway 228 and Crawfordsville. Last stop was at the market. The final 7.5 miles was on Northern Drive and then Kirk Avenue in Brownsville.
