Farley 9.6. Sunny, cold - high 20's up to low 30's, WSW winds 8-10 mph with gusts up to 30 mph but not that noticeable in the woods. Didn't see one other rider but I did see 3 deer. When I got back to the Trailhead at the end of 2 hours riding, there was one car with an empty bike rack on the back. Legs were tired after 2 x 24 mile rides at Waterfall Glen and Palos Hills, especially yesterday, so I took it somewhat easy and didn't push it too hard, and the full Winter kit slows you down so much. The Farley felt heavy today, so I just went with the flow. A slow pace but still a good workout. I shot for 2 hours ride time. Trails were pretty sloppy, got worse later as it warmed up, so I guess we're getting into Freeze/Thaw season. There was an old dead tree down completely blocking the trail about a mile into the Yellow trail on the East side. Too big to move so I reported it on Trailbot. Light lunch and a bit of rehydration at The Assembly, nice to be back after a few weeks riding at Palos (Which is an awesome trail system!!!).
