Farley 9.6. Partly sunny to cloudy towards ride's end, cold - 21 degrees at the start up to 28 at the finish, South winds @ 3-6 mph, gusts up to 12 mph; Higher humidity so it felt colder. No matter how I dress, my fingers and toes tend to feel cold after riding 2 hours or longer, today was no exception. I had on the new 45 NRTH Pogies but I still felt the cold in my fingers after 2 hours, feet were fine today, thanks to a few toe warmers. The usual lots of punchy climbs.
I got there early and had an 8 am roll time. Hardly anyone at the Maple Lake East start and I was one of the first ones out. I ended up seeing over 30 riders out on the trails plus lots of hikers and trail runners. Overall a pleasant ride and great conditions. Where there wasn't snow the trails were dry and hard - good thing it was mostly cloudy or the trail thaw would have been bad. I suspect it was later on as the temps were up to the mid 30's. I'm sure the trails were a sloppy mess by Monday afternoon - Trailbot confirms, not just here but pretty much everywhere.
No critters out on the trails today but I saw a herd of 5 deer while driving through Waterfall Glen, even had to brake for them a couple of times. Leftover cold pizza for breakfast/lunch but I did stop for a couple of pops of cider at Pub 56 in North Aurora.

Hi Dave, good ride. I bought a Otso Voytek fat bike last week and have been getting comfortable with riding the snowy mountain bike trails in northern Michigan.
Hey, Kevin. I guess you've made the full move to Traverse City? Which Otso did you get? Send me some pics or post on your ride.
I like the Otso, If I was in the market, I'd get the Ti.
The wife and I are heading out to Colorado on Christmas day to visit my son. We plan on doing some gravel riding. I'm only bringing one bike this time...
