What a great temp day to ride! The palo verde flowers were in full effect, with lots of creasote blooming , so yellow was the color of the desert! Also lots of critters: 2 separate sightings of 1 roadrunner, 1 coyote, 1 peacock ( these were critters that crossed the road in front of me). Then in the fenced little farmettes were horses, cows, and goats. I took it easy today because I wanted to enjoy the desert colors. Also will do a 200k either tomorrow or Saturday with Paul. A first happened today in that the gate at top of Sienna Hills in Verrado, mile 19.2, was closed and I walked around the gate, easy. There is road construction at intersection of Northern/ Citrus, around mile 36, so detoured south and then back to Citrus. Fun to go slow in this area and look at all the farm critters and farmettes.
