Again RWGPS is not recoding the correct start time of 5:15am, this is a known issue with AZ time and am waiting on the fix. With this the photos are also off by 1 hour. The ride today had the fun of seeing 12 different hot air balloons and 1 of them was up close! Temps were cool at the start and I wore a vest and orange windbreaker & gloves at start. Down to 48F. A bit of wind yet not real bad. No critters on the ride, so the balloons were fun to view. On my previous ride of 5383, I noticed a newish road that I wanted to explore at mile 23.8. I thought it might just go to an overlook just a little bit in and then I noticed it kept going west, so I guessed it might go over to the road that I would take N to the intersection of the next control at mile 24.9 and I was right! The area along this road is now being developed into homes! So we are loosing more gorgeous desert. In downtown Litchfield I did the turn into the new part of the park to get over the downtown control Village Gate at mile 61.1. Then when at end, I had to make up the extra mileage that the new road of 23.8 did not quite cover, so a loop around Fry's.
