Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was a mixed bag of things. The weather held up nicely. It was a bit warm and windy. But for the most part comfortable. Out the door, my legs were heavy. I thought they might come to after warming up to the end of OTR. This wasn't the case. I continued to feel heavy in the legs. At this point, I decided that I wasn't going to put in any major efforts except only where needed. The wind was a bit turbulent going out to Willow Springs. I ended up holding back, because it would have been wasted effort, otherwise. I was concentrating on balance for the better half of the ride. By the end of Highline, my legs started to feel a bit better. I kept moderate tempo all the way back to Banducci. Up the wall and to the summit was more of the same. I think I had to speed up a bit towards the top of the wall to let the traffic through. When I reached the summit, I decided to eat my only power bar. I think the last time I did this ride, I didn't eat it till the start of the CVR climb. I did not make that mistake today. My fluids were just at the limit of running out. I could have used an extra bottle. My legs felt fatigued on the last third of the ride, but I was able to coach myself through the difficult parts. Once I reached the summit of CVR, I was able to relax, keep the tempo nice and steady all the way home. Concentration proved to be the most lacking part of the ride. After returning from Highline, I was unable to get my focus in lockdown. Some of it had to do with my legs not feeling good, and I was constantly trying to shake of the crazies. It was like this for most of the ride. I was trying a lot of things to keep my mind on the task at hand while losing focus here and there. Fortunately, everything else went well. I had no problems with my gear, albeit, some creaking continues. I have to take this ride in consideration for the 67 mile ride that I'd like to do in September. I was spent in the end, and this was a 37 mile ride, but I was out there for more than 2:23 hrs. My thinking is that I want to do Keene + Tour de Teh (SS,R) or Willow springs, as I can replenish my fluids after passing through the mailboxes on the return trip from keene. I need to gradually increase the milage. It needs to get around 45 miles in the next couple of weeks. Other notes, there was a glider out near the airport being towed by a Cessna. I think this was the second or third time I saw them flying in the previous rides.
