Today's weather was in the 80's. The winds were from the North-West. I felt average out the door and needed a bit of a warmup. By the time I reached the top of the descent my legs felt better and was ready to tackle the climb. I reached the bottom in average time, around 27 minutes or so. I was a bit concerned about the heat, but I felt ok. There were some parts where I was a bit exhausted, but I was able to stay out of trouble by adjusting my tempo and opening my jersey when needed. Fortunately, the wind was nice and cool. Overall, I felt good. No serious ailments, but some numbness in the right hand. It happened on more than a few occasions, but I was able to mitigate it by stretching and making a fist. I was able to stay concentrated for the most part, but it wasn't great. Slightly better than average, I would say. Balance was pretty good, I constantly made my pretend horizon to get that extra bit of leveling of the legs and hips. Bike is working well, with a few set backs. First, the bike was making more noise today than the previous. I reseated my front and rear wheel at before the descent, so I'm pretty sure it's not the wheel. I noticed that it happens when I'm in the saddle, but more while out of the saddle. It reminds me of my first carbon Trek, but I don't think it's as bad. The components are too new to put them as the fault. The other thing is the rear wheel, it sounds like a fishing reel while coasting. The thing is, from the research I've done, most wheels are equal, if not worse. I'm going to do some more looking and see if I can find a quiet set like my Velomax.
