It's warmer. In the mid 80's Turbulent winds. I got out at about noon. I was expecting my new helmet, but it didn't arrive in time. I headed out on my usual route. Legs, a bit heavy to start. As I was making my way down to OTR, I got stung by a bee in the right leg. I had to pull over to remove the stinger. Then, I headed up OTR. Unaware as to what my body will do i the next few minutes. Fortunately, no allergic reactions. When I reached the summit, I noticed that I was a bit hungry. So, I pulled over to feed on half a Powerbar. I was feeling a bit queasy. I was about to turn around and head back. But, something told me to continue. So, I decided to head up the summit of Highline. I figured, let's see how the body does when I get to the summit. As I was making my way up. The energy level seemed to pick up a bit. Enough to complete the ride. The wind was somewhat turbulent. Cross tail and Cross headwinds. I cruised my way out to the turn-around point. All the while, a bit sore in the leg, from the sting. The return went faster than normal, due to the turbulent wind conditions. (I had a tailwind from time to time). I put in a good push to Banducci and then fun and games to home. Concentration was good. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, next to none. Gear is working well. The GoPro had a "Error" while I was on my way out to WS. Turning it off, on, and restart the recording seemed to fix that problem. I got my new helmet just now, so I will be playing with it and try it on the next ride. Other notes, I saw 2 cyclists today.
