Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was ideal. I wore one layer and that was perfect. My legs were heavy at first. I took it easy till I reached the top of the descent. The descent itself was mostly soft pedaling and more effort where I normally need it. My legs were still a bit heavy when I reached the turn-around point. But it got better as I went along. I kept the pace moderate and constantly getting out of the saddle to keep my momentum going. I did this for most of the climb. Once I reached the summit, I decided that I wanted to do OTR, and wanted to see if I would be ok doing Banducci. I kept the tempo modest and my legs were still there when I reached the end of OTR. At that point I decided to climb Banducci. But first, I had half of my energy bar as a reward. I felt ok going up the wall, but when I commenced the remainder of the climb, my right knee started to bother me. I think it was just below the knee and may have been muscle fatigue. I adjusted the pace accordingly. It never got to the point where I was near injury, but it kept me from lifting the pace. Fortunately, I was at a comfortable pace, being able to stay on top of the pedals. When I reached the summit, I had the last half of the energy bar. I rested for about 2 minutes and began the trip back. About the time I reached OTR, I think the bit of pain in the knee was mostly gone. By the time I reached home, it had gone away. Ailments, as I said... Balance was probably the better part of the ride. I felt good on the saddle and my legs felt symmetrical in effort and form. Gear is working well, the bike continues to click, no surprise there. I'm also getting a hint of skipping from the rear. It's either the wheel, cassette, or chain. I'm hoping it's the wheel because the new ones are due to arrive soon. The batteries on the Gopro depleted by the time I got back. But that was to be expected as the ride was more than 2 hours. Other notes, I only saw one other cyclist. I've made a checklist on paper, now to create one to put in the garage.
