Excellent weather. Cool, in the low 60's/50's. Winds from the North West. Today was the first time I wore the warranty replacement helmet. It feels just like the first. Although, about half way up the climb, the back-left part of my head was a bit sore at times. I adjusted the tension on the helmet, I think it helped, but didn't vanish, either. I'm not sure if it was the helmet. More riding to confirm. The ride went well. Made it to the top of the descent in good time. I cruised the downhill, soft pedaling most of the time. I stopped twice to take photos of the train as it was entering the loop. When I reached the base, I removed my arm warmers and then headed back. The ascent went fast. The legs felt good. I'm still under weight, and I can feel the difference. My goal over the next few months is to gain back at least 4 or 5 pounds. Ailments, my right knee, under the patella, was sore at times. Just a hint, never lingering or detracting from my tempo. As mentioned, slight soreness in the left-backside of my head. Likely muscle tissue. Right hand numbness. Balance and form felt good. Gear worked flawless. The smartphone is having some unusual issues. If I bump it too hard, it reboots the phone. More investigating on that. Other notes, I saw a pack of cyclists on their way down, as I was nearing the Loop Monument, on the ascent. I counted about a dozen or so. There was a couple on their way down as I was about to make the summit.
