Leaving the hotel we made for Milton along Milton Rd over the A10 and on to Baits Bite Lock on the River Cam. After negotiating the awkward footbridge we made for Horningsea and elevenses at Scotdales Garden Centre which comes complete with a bike shop.
We left Horningsea along Clayhithe Rd through Clayhithe to Waterbeach where NCR11 came to an unexpected end. We found our through the town to Bottisham Lock where we again crossed the river and made our way on grass along Bottisham, lifting the bikes over two gates en route to Anglesey Abbey and lunch.
We left the abbey through Stow-cum-Quy to High Ditch Rd and Fen Ditton and across Ditton Meadows and Stourbridge Common to Green Dragon Bridge where we crossed the river. We then found our way to the guided busway which we followed back to Histon then the hotel.
