Enough Deckwork! Go Ride MTB!

After several days spent rebuilding the deck behind the house and remembering why it was we went to college (manual labor? OMG!) it was time to take this tired old man body out on a bike. Wisely the old man chose a short-ish loop (yeah yeah, looks like two loops) as it was raaaaather humid. And warm.

Still, everything held up and performed as it should, though there were several stops to let legs stop burning ... soooo tired from hauling lumber, bending over, etc etc.

Trails are quite overgrown so maybe an old retired guy with time on his hands will voluntarily go out and trim some of the worst spots. We can hope, anyway. The dirt of the trails was in good shape with one or two lingering mud spots.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
