Did this ride 2 years ago. Logistics of getting to the 8 AM start at Coupville is a nightmare with the Pt. Townsend to Whidbey ferry schedule. alternative which involve getting thru Tacoma, Seattle on a Friday night are worse and longer. So decided to try camping on Whidbey on Friday night but everything booked. Reservations to Whiidbey on the ferry also mostly booked so ended up with an 8:30 pm booking. Bike organizers let me camp at the school but did not realize that the sprinklers come on at midnight. I remebered that the course is hilly but the first half lulls you into thinking that the hills aren't that steep but the second half is punishing. That and the headwinds picked up for some reasons. Otherwise a beautiful day. Data: Only used the ebike motor when I needed and at Langley, had 82% of the battery left. Last half went to level 2 and a lot of level 3 on the steeper and long hills. Passed a lot of walkers. Ended with 19%
