Going to be a hot day and it was. So caught the earlier ferry boat from Southworth. Unfortunately my favorite bakery on Vashon was not open so had to pass on their coffee and rolls. Also wanted to get thru Gig Harbor earlier to avoid the mid afternoon predicted temps so planned to catch a 12:10 ferry off the south end of Vashon. But I had plenty of time to explore uncharted areas of Vashon. Discovered this neat little downtown area in Dockton on the water before heading to the furtherest southern point of Maury Island. Met a walker that warned me about the hills getting into and out of the southern point and she was more than right. Could not believe how steep and long they were. Good long hard day but what I wanted. Finished on Banner road after a espresso milk shake at Olalla Bay store. Data:started at 100%. 83% in downtown Vashon, 32% in Olalla and finished with 19%
