It was going to get really hot today but I wanted to get a 50 mile bike ride with some elevation. Vashon Island it is. Normally head north to the north end of Vashon via ferry and then depart Vashon on the south end via ferry but that leaves me 23 miles at the end of the ride on a road with not a lot of shade. So I reveresed directions and headed south leaving at 6:00 am Beautiful cool morning with blue sky and no traffic. Got to "downtown" Vashon at 9 only to find out my favorite bakery didn't open until 10 so I had an hour to kill to get the pastry I wanted. Quick trip home by noon. Have been testing usage of my battery and with 50 miles and 3350', I still had 72% left when I got home. All in all, a great fun ride today and didn't spend a time on gas. Data: level 2 for the hill heading south. Battery at 95% Top of the hill in Gig Harbor was 90% and at the start of Vashon it was 85%
