Such a nice day to get out! It's in the 70's, cool winds from the North West. Ideal for going to the Alpine Forest. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the top of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had minimal traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top. The Arosa climb went as planned. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts. The landmarks helped. I was listening to the GPS announcements. The metrics seemed accurate. The morale got better as the climb progressed. Especially when I reached the speed bumps. I was at max going over the top. I zipped around the backside and then to the summit of Banducci. Once there, I took a few moments to recover, hydrate, and let the traffic by. I also checked the front wheel for brake rubbing. It was rubbing but ever so slightly. Shortly after, I headed back down the mountain. There was some traffic mitigation but it was safe. Descending off the Banducci Wall was safe. I feathered the brakes on the way down. I then headed to the top of Highline, around the Buffalo neighborhood and then back to Highline for the return. Descending off OTR was fun. Definitely good for the morale. I pushed over Mariposa and made my way back home I put in the usual dig to the top of Weston and shut it down.
Concentration was good. My patience was in check. The morale felt good going out the door. I was focused most of the time and no gremlins to speak of. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal and half a banana before the start of the ride. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness and numbness on the big efforts. Gear worked flawlessly, although, the bike is exhibiting mystery clicks here and there. I am going to re-torque the bolts so see if that helps. Other notes, I saw one cyclist today.
Other notes, I made it to the summit of Banducci in good average time.
