A cinnamon colored black bear was on the road and ran off when it saw me. A large female grizzly was also on the road and did not move off. She could’ve cared less about whistling and yelling. Fortunately, the only car I saw For three hours was an outfitter who is coming the other direction. The bear walked right beside his truck without even giving a second look. He turned around and gave me a ride for a mile past where we saw the bear. Today was the last long sectional Gravel before I get to pay and continue on to Jasper. The mountains grew bigger and much more impressive throughout the day. The fact that there are so many mountains make each one seem less significant, even though all are impressive on their own. I was distracting bunch of the day thinking about how to end this trip, finding a bike box, a shuttle the airport in flight arrangements. My back up is a good friend. Paul is willing to pick me up anywhere I need to and then take me back to Oregon.
