Canyon campground kananski provincial Park Alberta, Canada to Johnson Canyon, Campground Banff, national Park Today’s well-maintained dirt roads took us past a number of Alberta provincial parks along the spray river. 20 miles a single track finally brought me to Banff, which is where most people start the Great Divide ride. However the real beginning is in Jasper. I finally worked out the logistics of getting home from Jasper so I’m continuing that way on the bow Valley Parkway and the icefield Parkway. The mountains are stunning and scenery is the best of the trip. I’ve really been looking forward to this section. Everything from here on his pavement so I should speed up but have more sightseeing time. I’m just 5 mile short of 3000 for the entire trip.
