Col de Sarenne

Starting in Bourg d'Oisans the route takes the main D1091 south east climbing up to the dam holding back the huge Lac du Chambon. From here the route turns and climbs up to Clavans le Haut where the climb rears up and doesn't relent until the summit is reached. Take care on the descent as although most of the road is in good condition there are a couple of storm water run-offs to negotiate and the winter snows had had their affect on the tarmac. On reaching Alpe d'Huez it's downhill all the way on the famous 21 bends, back to the valley floor

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
