Left Lake Quinault early with nice weather. Soon after riding up the hill, I noticed a flatish rear tire. I think it might have a slow leak so I just pumped some more air into it and started riding. This proved to be a good choice as it seemed to work the whole day also right at the beginning before getting to 101. I met up with another tourer heading the same direction and at the same planned stop point at Twin Harbor State Park. So we decided to ride together and ended up doing so the whole way. We stopped for a couple of short breaks, but for the most part rode through the whole way as there weren’t a lot of viewpoints further along I had my route staying on 101 but his went off into a more mountainous, but with less traffic. So we decided to take that one and it worked out fine even though there was a little more climbing when we reached Aberdeen I wanted to stop and get something to eat. But we first wanted to get across the river and had a little difficulty finding the way across. We asked the local bicyclist for the route and he gave us a tip of getting to the bridge. There we were able to stop and take a few pictures of the bridge and butter. After crossing the bridge we found a hometown café. The food and help were great however we had to wait a long time to get a burger and an omelette that we ordered. I’m not sure how long but I think it was at least one hour after we ordered before we got our food. There were also a lot of locals that were interested in talking to each other and also talking to us for quite a long time. After that, we only had 18 miles or so to reach twin harbors we had a little difficulty finding the hike bike. After that we settled in and were able to get a shower and eat some more food.
