I had some ideas for lunch but I didn't love any of them.
The road bike needs new parts which arrived while I was on the ride so that meant riding dirt. I decided to do this reverse loop so I could take lunch home and I was also unsure about the construction/closure in San Juan Canyon.
It's been three weeks since I was last there and I figured it would be finished. I was wrong so extra glad I did this loop in this direction so I could pivot right away.
This gave me the opportunity to do that trail at the top of Marburger that I always avoid. Even on the deluxe "gravel" bike, the entry into the drop is a little sketchy. I rode it but I didn't send it like I thought I would.
The next sketchy bit was doing Crystal Springs Trail going south for the first time. The trail could use some love with rain ruts and lots of loose gravel in the steep parts.
I brought a pouch thinking I'd carry the food home that way. I forgot that I still had the fork mounts on from Truckee so I could've used fork bags instead. I was going to get a burrito or a wrap for easy transport (thus the pouch) but I ended up getting a to-go box which messed up my plans. Luckily the bag hung nicely on my handlebar.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
