App shut off while riding through South Laguna Beach spontaneously. Didn’t notice it for about a mile or so. Restarted then realized it didn’t include the rest of the route from Dana Point to the train station. Closed and restarted from thr original Ladies and Gents link. Not sure yet if the whole ride mileage is included in this entry. Gave myself 45 minutes to get from my house to the east Corona Metrolink ststion including stop lights. Averaged 18 mph getting there despite lots of red lights. Arrived to find they left earlier! Called Erik Pippins and he mumbled something about approaching Green River on the 91 freeway! So I figured they moved the start point and didn’t tell me! So I stumped on it. First I thought they might be starting at Green River as he mentioned something about it the beginning of the trail. So once I got to the trail I saw no one! I leaned back into it… maybe they started at Yorba Regional Park? I got to the park - no one… I call Erik… left a voicemail. Texted… I hear bikes rolling up as I’d stopped at YR to get a fix on where they actually were. Here comes Erik and a handful of his crew… I join in… it’s Maria’s birthday celebration ride. She’s 60… Everyone’s moseying along at a pedestrian pace. A couple of guys take off the front. I go chase and catch. We work together out to ARTIC the first regroup point. Refill bottles and eat a 2nd bagel with honey. 🍯 Zoom 💪🏾🚴🏾🦶🏽🦵🏾🫁🫀☀️🚴🏽‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴🏾👍🏾 There was about 10-12 of us with 3-4 women amongst us. All strong and fluid. We are at the train station right now. It’s been a beautiful and solid ride 😊💗🚴🏾☀️ Update: @ home now. Add 5 miles for 83 miles for the day 👍🏾🚴🏾☀️😊
