Last day over 60 for awhile, if the forecast is to be believed, and so with temps hanging around 70, seemed like a good time to get out. Later start than preferable but still quite pleasant; a lovely fall day with lots of sun, leaves falling on the trail, trails dry but not dusty. Rode the hardtail for this first time in ... a long time, since this loop isn't particularly technical and is only somewhat rooty. Lots of trails in fields and so forth. Bike is very different than the full squish and quite a bit more twitchy/maneuverable, which, is a good thing since you have to pay attention to your line when there's no rear suspension to soak up the big hits... Body felt pretty good though there was clearly some ... leftovers .... from the very long ride on Sunday, so this was just about right. On the other hand, The Woman was outside when I rolled up at the end and was asking if something was wrong because it was such a short ride. Ummm... guess I HAVE been doing a lot of longer stuff.... But hey, short stuff is good too!
