Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Photo of my post-ride breakfast: scrambled egg + egg whites + string cheese on 3 flour tortillas with avocado and a drizzle of the hot sauce I got at the Gran Fondue race.
This was my longest ride on the trainer to date! Debated going outside for it, but there were too many changes in RPMs and watts - it would have been challenging to do as planned. Enjoyed it immensely. The IF was on point for what was planned, but my RPE felt more like 3/10; it was truly conversational pace. I need to stop worrying about my watts and remember that I am a very small person size-wise (60 kg, 5’4”) on a real trainer for the first time so my power output numbers are not going to compare to a man’s.
That said…I would like to be close to 175 watts for my FTP by the time spring training starts to ramp up…it will put me at 3 watts/kg.
Need a different saddle - it has been ordered.
Enjoyed two new-to-me songs: Vaitimbora by Mari Froes, and La Bicicleta by Shakira and Carlos Vives - not sure how I’d missed this song since I’m a fan of both singers! The lyrics are a pretty love letter.
