I was trying to do the ride report outside in the bike room but when I was almost finished windows shut down. My keyboard has two shut down buttons one for the computer and the other for windows. I accidentally, hit the windows shut down. long story short getting cold so now I'm inside in my warm room. This was a 20 miles ride, I wasn't sure how hard I wanted to ride, I did a short warm up and felt so-so, A buddy of mine is also on MyWhoosh and did this ride yesterday and his screen shot looked great so when I saw it on my system this evening I decided to do it, the only problem it was a fast group at my upper range. I figure if they were too fast for me I could go on my own. I almost got dropped several times, I was in the mix and then spit out the back, way back in a second. Which meant either I sprint to catch up or I was on my own. You can see one I was by myself and the other there was two of us. On another it seemed one of the group riders stayed back to see if I was coming back, LOL! I was wondering if I bit off more than I could handle by mile 5. I kept telling myself just hang in there, the pace is not out of your league. I'm not sure if it is the bike, the trainer or riding indoors but nothing feels right. I feel like my cadence is much faster than what the computer shows, the pedal resistance doesn't feel right. I also discovered when climbing I can pedal harder and faster but I don't go faster. I need to shifter to harder gears and stand then, I can pick up speed! Just like outside riding I don't see any of the scenery on the screen so I don't know where I'm at and the screen doesn't say how far to go to finish the lap. I made it to 10 miles and really wanted to stop, but I was hanging in the group, we lost a few and picked up a few, now the riders that I think are dropped could just be off the screen but I don't think so because when I loose contact there is no one around. I get to 15 miles my legs are burning and I breathing hard, so I know I'm working, I keep telling myself just a little longer hang in there... next thing I know I got 4 miles to go then 3 and finally tot he point of no return 2 miles! It feels like the pace picks up as everyone is jockeying for position which is a joke. Now we are at 1 mile to go I move from the back up to behind the leaders and from our 1.9 - 2.1 wattage output it is bumped up to 2.1 - 2.3 (w/kg). With a half mile to go I do a break away to my finish. They keep going for how long I don't know? Be safe out there and enjoy the ride
