Last weekend I thought my back was feeling better but after the ride I was in traction all over again. So this weekend I made sure to take it easy and didn't push myself on the climbs. Pedaling out of the saddle I could feel it in my back so I tried not to do that much. I also felt taking off from stops but there wasn't anything I could do about that. Towards the end of the day, it did feel a little better.
I don't know what happened with the weather. Today's temperature was the same or warmer than yesterday but it felt so much colder. Yesterday for sure felt warmer than the indicated temp. And to be fair, I think today felt much colder than the indicated temp making the contrast between yesterday and today feel that much greater.
We did get down to just shorts and short sleeves before the climb up Palomares but I wasn't sure I made the right call taking off so many layers.
We did this loop in reverse to make the climbing less steep. Normally we get a headwind on Dublin Canyon and somehow going in reverse, we STILL got a headwind! I want my money back.
Mr. Pickles in Pleasanton is still closed for renovations so we went to Jersey Mikes, which was new to me, but the guys went there last time when the found Mr. Pickles closed. Bob thought maybe they'd be back up and running by now.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
