I was regretting my decision to continue, but knew no one could pick me up tomorrow, and the rain was coming, so I had to keep going. HWY 170 was a better road to ride than 17 but I hit construction the last 2 miles of it. Bluffton Parkway was a godsend! It had a paved bike path off the road and I really got to enjoy at least 10 miles today. I was hoping that Hilton Head would be cyclist friendly when I got over the bridge but it wasn't. Maybe it is further in, but I don't know. With the rumbling stipe and a thin shoulder covered in debris and heavy traffic, it wasn't a Grand ending to my Head to Head trip like I wanted. But I FINISHED! Woohoo, Yay Me! I forgot to start my new GPS before I started this leg of my trip before taking the bridge on hwy170, so I actually did 29.8 miles for this part 2 section.
